Newton Highlands Station Ramp Work Starting on February 25

MBTA contractors will be installing an ADA-compliant ramp at Newton Highlands Station. Work will be performed throughout the day and overnight.
This ramp will be demolished and replaced with a permanent structure once the Newton Highlands Station Accessibility Improvements project starts construction.
Service Alerts
This work will not affect Green Line D branch service at Newton Highlands Station.
The ramp will be installed at the corner of Walnut St and Station Ave. During construction, customers will be asked to exit onto Station Ave, closer to Lake Ave. There will be signs in the station that reflect this change.
Construction Schedule
Daytime Work
- February 25 – April 5, Monday – Friday, 7 AM – 3 PM
Overnight Work
- March 25 – 29, Monday – Friday, 1 AM – 5 AM
- April 1 – 5, Monday – Friday, 1 AM – 5 AM
