• Shuttle Upcoming

  Red Line: Shuttle buses will replace service between JFK/UMass and Braintree, the weekends of Feb 8 - 9, and Feb 22 - 23, for signal upgrades. Commuter Rail service between Braintree and South Station will be fare-free during this work.
  

  Riders are strongly encouraged to use the Middleborough, Kington, and Greenbush Commuter Rail lines for fare-free service between Braintree, Quincy Center, JFK/UMass, and South Station. Commuter Rail schedules are available on MBTA.com. Regular Commuter Rail fares will be collected for travel beyond Braintree.

  Red Line: Braintree station is running service with single track operation due to a switch problem. All train service will operate on the southbound track at Braintree.
• Elevator Closure

  South Station Elevator 901 (Ashmont/Braintree platform to Silver Line drop-off platform and lobby) unavailable due to maintenance
  To exit the Red Line, use nearby South Station Elevator 918. To exit the Silver Line, take South Station Elevator 927 to the Alewife platform, then take South Station Elevator 919 to the Airport/Design Center/Chelsea platform. At the Silver Line platform, use South Station Elevator 918 to access the lobby. To board the Red Line, use South Station Elevator 918 located on the opposide side of the lobby.

  To exit the Red Line, take nearby South Station Elevator 927 to the Silver Line drop-off platform, then use South Station Elevator 901 to access the lobby. To board the Red Line, use South Station Elevator 901 located in the lobby, on the paid side of the faregates, to access the Silver Line drop-off platform. At the Silver Line platform, use South Station Elevator 927 to access the Alewife platform.

  To exit, use North Quincy Elevator 900 to access the main lobby at West Squantum St. Upon exiting the main lobby, turn right onto West Squantum St, then turn right on the ramp to Newport Ave Extension. Continue for approx. 900 feet to the Newport Ave parking lot entrance. To board, exit the Newport Ave parking lot, turn left and travel approx. 900 ft. along Newport Ave Extension and up the ramp to West Squantum St. At West Squantum St, turn left and continue to the North Quincy main entrance and use North Quincy Elevator 900. See station personnel or use a station call box to request assistance.

  North Quincy Newport Avenue Parking Lot closed beginning Wed Oct 16 due to construction. The vehicle entrance and exit will relocate to the old “state street” driveway. Public access via stairs/escalators to the lobby is restricted. Elevator access only.
