Commuter Rail Access
Starting Tuesday, July 2, 2019, the stairway and escalator leading up from Braintree’s busway to the Commuter Rail platform will be closed for construction. It will be demolished as part of the South Shore Garages project and will not be reopened.
Starting Friday, June 21, 2019, the existing pedestrian ramp at Braintree Station will be closed for about 6 months. A temporary alternate ramp is available next to the permanent ramp.
Garage Stairs
Starting Saturday, June 22, 2019, the center staircase inside Braintree Garage will be under construction for about 4 months. Work will be completed in 2 parts, closing half the staircase at a time. The other 3 staircases in the garage will remain open.
