Green Line Transformation | C Branch Train Protection and Track Upgrades: 12-Day Full Access
Monday, July 11 – Friday, July 22
The GLT team has successfully completed our 12-day full access closure on the C Branch.
Crews successfully installed GLTPS train protection equipment along the entire C Branch.
During this closure, we also replaced 1,500 feet of track within the tunnel between St. Mary’s St and Kenmore.
GLT partnered with other MBTA departments and the Town of Brookline to complete additional improvements in the area, including painting and tree trimming.
We also coordinated shuttle service to get riders to their destinations during construction.
Next, from Saturday, August 6th – Sunday, August 21st, we will install train protection equipment and renew track on the E Branch.
