Intersection Upgrades 70% Complete

As part of the Capital Acceleration Plan, we’ve expedited Green Line and Mattapan Line intersection upgrades to bring you a safer, more reliable MBTA experience.
We’ve finished all major work on the Green Line C and Mattapan Line intersection upgrades and are on schedule to complete the project 5 months earlier than originally planned.
As of October 21, 2019, we’ve replaced 6,176 feet of track, and intersection upgrades are 70% complete:
We’re upgrading 16 intersections on the B Line along Commonwealth Avenue. Completed intersections are designated with a :

- Pleasant Street
- Harry Agganis Way
- Babcock St
- Harvard Ave
- Summit Ave
- Washington Street
- Colborne Road
- Kinross Road/Wallingford Road
- Chiswick Road
- Strathmore Road
- Chestnut Hill Driveway
- South Street
- Lake Street
- Commonwealth Avenue (near Fr. Herlihy Drive)
We upgraded 13 intersections on the C Line along Beacon Street.
