Two Full-Access Closures on D Branch Now Complete

Updated on July 8, 2020

A crew aligns track and installs ballast near Reservoir Station on the Green Line D

In June 2020, we shut down the Green Line D Branch to allow for accelerated work between Riverside and Kenmore. During these full service closures, crews were able to accomplish 5 months of work in just 18 days, bringing Green Line D Track and Signal Replacement from 37% completion to 72% completion—and saving riders 162 days of planned disruptions.

This work helps to shorten travel times and improve safety and reliability on the Green Line.
