Most trains will depart after the fireworks. Travel will be free on trains scheduled to arrive or depart from North and South Stations after 9:30 PM and the $10 Holiday Pass is available for unlimited travel throughout the day.

The year-long pilot, funded by a MassDOT Shared Streets and Spaces grant, will introduce bus-only lanes and transit signal priority on Washington Street, benefiting 15,000 daily riders on Routes 60, 65, and 66.

MBTA and City of Somerville Announce Bus Lane Improvements on Washington Street
These improvements expand on previous bus mobility work completed in fall 2021 to enhance travel time and reliability for MBTA Routes 86, 91, and CT2, serving 8,000 daily riders.
