Public Meeting | Quincy Bus Maintenance Facility (Virtual)
Meeting Info
Attendees: General Public
Event Description
The MBTA is designing a new bus maintenance facility in Quincy to replace the old facility. This will accommodate battery electric buses (BEBs) and allow for expanded service opportunities in the future. The facility, which will be located at 599 Burgin Parkway across the street from Quincy Adams station on the Red Line, is within a mile of Quincy Center station, where many Quincy bus routes start.
At this meeting, MBTA project staff provided design updates, discussed the upcoming demolition of the existing building and construction of the public shared-use path, reviewed the project timeline, and facilitated a Q&A period to address community concerns.
