Accessibility Information
Shuttle Accessibility
All shuttle stops and vehicles are accessible. Shuttle buses may include accessible coach buses with stairs and lifts, or stair-free buses with ramps. Please be aware that during weekday peak periods, a majority of the shuttles may be high-floor coach buses.
Accessible Vans
Accessible vans are available.
Riders can ask any station personnel or use an MBTA station call box to request accessible van service.
Vans are equipped with ramps or lifts and provide station-to-station service.
Wait times vary based on a rider’s pick-up location and the van’s current location. A rider will be given an estimated pick-up time when they request the van.
Accessibility Policies
All MBTA employees and shuttle provider staff are required to honor all reasonable requests for assistance, including:
- Providing information or directions
- Providing sighted guide to and from shuttles and stations
- Getting a seat on a vehicle
- Deploying a shuttle bus ramp or lift
- Shuttle bus operators are required to clearly and loudly announce every station stop along each route.
- Service animals are welcome on all shuttle buses at any time.
- Any rider may request the use of an accessible van without question. Riders with disabilities may never be pressured or forced to use an accessible van instead of an accessible shuttle bus.
The RIDE
The RIDE will not be impacted by this closure.
